Actor Gautham Karthik has shared a deeply personal note on Instagram, opening up about the emotional bond he once shared with his Harley Davidson bike, fondly named 'Dyna', and the heartbreak of parting with it during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The post featured a video montage of Gautham riding the bike along with several old photos, capturing the many memories he had made with it. In his message, the actor wrote that Dyna had been more than a vehicle — it had been a companion through some of the most significant phases of his life.
Describing the joy of riding it, he recalled, “From the first time I turned the key to the moment your engine came alive… you carried more than just me. You carried my happiness, my dreams. So many rides, so many memories.”
Gautham also spoke candidly about how the bike helped him through moments of self-doubt and turbulence. “When the world threw me down, when their noise broke my confidence, when they rattled me to my core, your roar silenced them all,” he shared, adding that the bike introduced him to “a community that stood by me” and gave him “the courage to face whatever life shoved my way.”
Reflecting on the sense of freedom and connection he felt while riding, the actor wrote, “As we rode, you made me smile from ear to ear. Like a child, I screamed with pure bliss as the wind hit my face. My heart beat in sync with your engine, and together we soared like eagles across endless skies.”
The most poignant part of his note was the admission of how painful it was to let go of Dyna. “Letting you go during Covid was one of the hardest losses of my life,” Gautham confessed. “It felt like a piece of me had been ripped away. No other bike will ever take your place. You were my first, my best, my dream made real.”
Signing off with gratitude, he wrote, “But just as the roads keep going, so must life, and so must I. Thank you, my dear Dyna… for it all. With love, Gautham.”
On the work front, Gautham Karthik was last seen in August 16 1947 in 2023. Coming up, he has Criminal, Mr X, Running Out Of Time (ROOT), and GRK23, in various stages of production.
