KVN Productions, the banner behind Vijay's final film Jana Nayagan, announced a while ago that its first single is titled 'Thalapathy kacheri'. The makers of the film, directed by H Vinoth, also shared a new poster featuring Vijay dancing in the middle of a row of drum players on either side. The title of the song appears to be the film's second meta reference to Vijay's larger-than-life persona. The title itself, which means "People's Leader," is seemingly a nod to Vijay's departure from cinema for a career in politics. Produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions, with Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK serving as co-producers, Jana Nayagan also stars Pooja Hegde in the female lead role. The ensemble cast also includes Prakash Raj, Bobby Deol, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, and Narain.

On the technical front, the film has music by Anirudh, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan, editing by Pradeep E Ragav, and stunts by Anl Arasu. It reunites Vijay with Anirudh after Kaththi, Beast, Leo, and Master.

Billed as a political actioner, Jana Nayagan is slated for a January 09, 2026, release in theatres. Meanwhile, the film's first song is set to release at 6:03 pm tomorrow.
