Gouri G Kishan, who was last seen in the Malayalam film Sahasam this year and Boat in Tamil last year, is currently gearing up for the release of her next Tamil outing, Others. Also starring Aditya Madhavan in his acting debut and Anju Kurian, the film is helmed by Abin Hariharan. In an exclusive conversation with CE, Gouri Kishan opened up about her role in her next, LIK, while promoting Others.

Gouri revealed that she was not confident to pull off the role offered to her in LIK, or Love Insurance Kompany. "LIK is a futuristic film. It’s a bold attempt that adds to the growth of Tamil cinema. Whether it succeeds or not, it’s a concept that hasn’t been tried before, and it’s visually grand. I play a character that no one has imagined me in until now. Vignesh sir wanted to break that image, and though I was a bit underconfident, I was pushed beyond my comfort zone. I hope it pays off."

Gouri also revealed that she is currently filming for a Tamil web series with JioHotstar. In LIK, she stars alongside leads Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty and SJ Suryah. The film is gearing up to hit theatres on December 18 after multiple delays.

The rest of the star cast of Others includes Munishkanth, Hareesh Peradi, Nandu Jagan, Mala Parvathy, and Vinoth Sagar. Produced by Murali of the Grand Pictures banner and co-produced by Kartik G and Adhiraj Purushothaman, the film has composer Ghibran Vaibodha, cinematographer Aravinnd Singh, editor Ramar, art director Uma Shankar, and stunt director Phantom Pradeep. The film is releasing in theatres on November 7.
