After delivering hits with Madha Gaja Raja and Aambala, filmmaker Sundar C and Vishal are set to reunite for a new film, tentatively titled Vishal 36. The duo has also collaborated on the 2019 film Action.

Described as a "power-packed mass entertainer," the announcement video featured glimpses from their previous collaborations. The rest of the cast and crew of the film are yet to be announced.

Last helmed and fronted Gangers, which saw him collaborate with Vadivelu after over a decade, Sundar C is currently working on Mookuthi Amman 2, headlined by Nayanthara.

Vishal, meanwhile, is working on Magudam, his 35th film. The film at first progressed with the stewardship of Ravi Arasu, of Eetti and Ayngaran fame. But due to creative differences, Ravi Arasu quit the project, with Vishal donning the director's hat. The action film also stars Dushara Vijayan as the female lead, with Anjali and Yogi Babu in prominent roles. This film marks the 99th production feature of the popular Super Good Films banner.

Magudam's music will be composed by GV Prakash, who is joining hands with the actor for the second time after Mark Antony. Cinematography is by Richard M Nathan, and editing is handled by Srikanth NB. G Durairaj is the production designer.
