The combination of composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and actor Silambarasan TR has been a delight for both fans, and the duo has delivered numerous chartbusters over the years.

In a glimpse from episode 1 of the 2024 Singapore concert titled Journey of STR: A musical odyssey with Yuvan, the two are seen discussing releasing their unreleased numbers. STR asks Yuvan when will his version of 'Kaadhal Valaththaen' (Manmadhan - 2004) will be released, to which the latter said we will release it soon and added that he is also planning to release some of their compositions as independent songs.      

Their film collaborations began with Manmadhan in 2004; they teamed up in several hit films such as Vallavan (2006), Silambattam (2008), Vaanam (2011), and Maanaadu (2021). They will team up once again in STR 50, directed by Desingh Periyasamy.

STR, who was last seen in Kamal Haasan starrer Thug Life, also has Arasan with Vetrimaaran and STR 51, helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu, in the pipeline.
