Actor-politician R Sarath Kumar took to social media to pen a note on Nattamai, which was released 31 years ago, today (November 2). The film was directed by KS Ravikumar and featured the actor in dual roles.

Through his X handle the actor wrote, "It's heartening to see that even after 31 years since its release, a film that has been identified as a masterpiece among the people—a creation in Tamil cinema that blends rural pride, justice, and tradition—continues to be celebrated in a special way by Tamil enthusiasts to this day. I am delighted to share my love for the film's team at this moment"

The cast of the film also includes Vijayakumar, Khusbu, Meena, Manorama, Goundamani, Senthil and more.

Nattamai followed the story of three generations of a family who heads the village administration, and the drama that divides the family.
