Devayani’s latest outing at the theatres, Nizhar Kudai, is all set to premiere on May 30 on Aha Tamil. The film released theatrically on May 9 and opened to unfavourable reviews.
Helmed by Shiva Arumugam, Nizhar Kudai also stars Vijjith, Kanmani Manoharan, Raj Kapoor, Vadivukkarasi, Ilavarasu, and Neelima Rani in prominent roles.
Nizhar Kudai revolves around Devayani, a child caretaker who grows too fond of the child. Her parents’ dream to relocate to America is then soiled when the child also grows fond of her nanny. An excerpt from CE’s review of Nizhar Kudai reads, “Nizhar Kudai is an unsubtle commentary on the modern family system. However, it fails to make a pragmatic and compelling argument for the forgotten traditional values it champions.”
On the technical team, Nizhar Kudai has cinematography by RB Gurudev, music by Naren Balakumar, and editing by Rolex.
