With the film's release slated for July 5, makers of director Ram's Parandhu Po announced the onboarding of Malayalam actor Aju Varghese in its first single, 'Sunflower.' Along with Aju, his fellow Malayalam actor, Grace Antony, is also making her Tamil debut with this film.

As the title suggests, the first single depicts the significance of the sunflower to both father and son characters, portrayed by Shiva and Mitul Ryan, respectively.

With Shiva and Anjali playing the lead characters, the cast of the film also includes Vijay Yesudas, Dia, Jesse Kukku, Balaji Sakthivel and Sreeja Ravi.

Paranthu Po premiered at the 54th International Film Festival Rotterdam in January.

Santhosh Dhayanidhi composes the music for Paranthu Po with lyrics from Madhan Karky. The rest of the film's crew includes NK Ekambaram as the director of photography, Mathi VS as the editor, Stunt Silva handling the action choreography, and Kumar Gangappan as the production designer. GK Bros Production and Seven Seas and Seven Hills Production are backing the film. The film is set to stream on JioHotstar.

Meanwhile, director Ram still awaits the release of Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, which stars Nivin Pauly, Soori, and Anjali.
