Vemal's Paramsivan Fathima gets a release date

Vemal was last seen in the Disney+ Hotstar web series Om Kai Jai Kali, with his previous feature appearance being Badava

After the trailer was unveiled, the makers of actor Vemal's Paramasivan Fathima announced the release date on Tuesday.

The film will be released in theatres on June 5.

Paramasivan Fathima will discuss the communal strife in two fictional villages (one Christian and the other a Hindu) in Tamil Nadu. The earlier released trailer is a recall of the 2004 Hari film Kovil, starring Silambarasan and Sonia Agarwal in the lead.

The film is directed by Esakki Karvannan, who has previously made Tamil Kudimagan (2023), Pettikadai (2019), and Pagiri (2016). Vemal was last seen in the Disney+ Hotstar web series Om Kai Jai Kali, with his previous feature appearance being Badava. He made a cameo appearance in the Sundar C-Vadivelu film Gangers.

Paramasivan Fathima also stars MS Bhaskar, Manoj Kumar, Sri Ranjani, Athira, Aruldoss, Cool Suresh, Kadhal Sukumar, and Veerasamar, among others.

The film's technical crew comprises cinematographer Myna Sukumar and music composer Deepan Chakravarthy. Esakki has also written the script of the film, produced by Lakshmi Creations.
