Producer CV Kumar has announced that his next directorial will be XY. CV Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment has produced films like Attakathi, Soodhu Kavvum, and Indru Netru Naalai.

While the film's plot details have not been revealed yet, the film is described as a science fiction thriller in the medical field.

XY's cast includes Srithar, Rathika Ravinder, Varshini Venkat, Pragadeesh J, Aneesh Mohammed, Suganthipriya K, Cheran, and Azhageswari.

The crew of the film has Hariharan Anandarajah as the cinematographer, Pon Kathiresh K as the editor, and Prem K as the production designer. The film is produced by Sambasivam K and co-produced by Srithar S. Shri Krish Pictures is backing the film.

CV Kumar has previously directed films like Maayavan, Gangs of Madras, and Kottravai.
