After the Indian defence forces conducted Operation Sindoor in the early hours of Wednesday, several actors from the Tamil film industry have expressed their support for the armed forces and the Indian government.

Kamal Haasan took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his support and said, "A proud India stands united with its armed forces." He added, "This is the resolute response of a strong nation that will not be divided by cowardly acts of terror. I applaud the decisive and strategic military action taken by Government of India. Jai Hind." He tweeted out the statement with a photo of Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Indian Army, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri from the press meet conducted today.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan quoted a line from his film Amaran to express his support for the operation. "This is the face of the Indian Army. Jai Hind."

"Our protectors stay ready so we can stay safe. Operation Sindoor is a reminder of that silent strength. Jai Hind," tweeted actor Simran.

"Duty-bound heroes, standing tall for the nation’s security," said actor Ravi Mohan, taking to X.

The Indian defence forces undertook a joint operation across nine terrorist sites in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the early hours of May 7.
