Ahead of its release on May 16, DD Next Level makers dropped the second single from the film titled 'Cinemakaaran'.

The gaana number is about Selvaraghavan's cinema-obsessed character Hitchcock Irudhayaraj, who detests bashful film critics, like the one Santhanam plays in the film. 'Cinemakaaran' lists out methods of torture that will be meted out to such critics from Irudhayaraj.

In addition to Selvaraghavan and Santhanam, the film also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Geethika, Yashika Aannand, Maaran, Nizhalgal Ravi, Kasthuri Shankar, and Rajendran, among others.

Produced by actor Arya under his banner The Show People, DD Next Level has music composed by OfRo, editing by Barath Vikraman, and cinematography by Dipak Kumar Padhy. The film is co-produced by Niharika Entertainment.

The Dhilluku Dhuddu franchise began in 2016 with the namesake horror comedy, directed by Rambhala. He returned to direct Dhilluku Dhuddu 2, which was released in 2019. A third film, a standalone sequel titled DD Returns, was released in 2023 and was helmed by Prem Anand. All the films were commercial hits at the box office.

DD Next Level will be released in theatres on May 16 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
