After a successful run at the box office, Ajith's latest hit Good Bad Ugly is gearing up for its OTT release. Netflix announced on Saturday that the Adhik Ravichandran-directed action entertainer will begin streaming on its platform from May 8.
Good Bad Ugly follows AK aka The Red Dragon who gives up being a gangster for the sake of his son. Years later, he is forced to return to his old ways when his son's life is in danger.
The cast of Good Bad Ugly alongside Ajith Kumar are Trisha, Arjun Das, Prasanna, Redin Kingsley, Priya Prakash Warrier, Shine Tom Chacko, BS Avinash, Prabhu, Prasanna, Raghu Ram, Rahul Dev, Yogi Babu, Sunil, and Jackie Shroff, among others. The film also had Simran in a cameo role.
Upon release on April 10, the film received positive response from audience and critics, and earned over Rs 200 crore worldwide. Our CE review of Good Bad Ugly read, "If you ever loved anything about Ajith, GBU has likely stored it for you. Vaali, Varalaaru, Mankatha, Billa, Dheena—even Vedalam. Take a shot every time something triggers your nostalgia; you'll be gone in sixty seconds (which is perhaps one of a few Hollywood films that Good Bad Ugly doesn't reference). Adhik knows this game—and he knows it really well: if not AK in slo-mo, then it’s Arjun Das entering the screen to ‘Otha Rooba Thaaren’, swaying around a cruise with bikini-clad women."
The technical team has Abinandhan Ramanujam as the director of photography, Vijay Velukutty as the editor, GM Sekhar as the production designer, while Supreme Sundar and Kaloian Vodenicharov handled the stunts.
The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, with Shiv Chanana as the co-producer.
