Maaman Trailer: Soori's endearing love for his nephew is put to a litmus test in this family drama

A heartwarming union between an uncle and his nephew in the delivery room; The love that he shares with his sister and his own wife; A family who doesn't give up on each other—These are all the themes that director Prasanth Pandiyaraj's promises in his upcoming family drama Maaman whose trailer was released on Thursday.

The three-minute-long trailer promises an engaging family drama with themes of love and to what extent they are willing to hold on to it in the face of crisis. Soori is the loving maaman who is willing to move heaven and Earth for his nephew, Aishwarya Lekshmi plays his love interest/wife while Swasika, who made a memorable impression among the Tamil audiences with last year's Lubber Pandhu plays Soori's older sister. Rajkiran seems to be playing the grandfather. What happens when a crisis arises in the family and Soori's love for his nephew is put to test seems to form the core plot of Maaman.

The film reunites Soori with producer K Kumar of the Lark Studios banner after 2024's GarudanMaaman also stars Vimal, Baba Baskar, Master. Prageeth Sivan, Bala Saravanan, Jaya Prakash, Viji Chandrasekar, Geetha Kailasam, Chaya Devi, Nikhila Sankar, and Kalaivani Bhaskar, among others.

Maaman has music by Hesham Abdul Wahab, renowned for his work in Malayalam and Telugu cinema. It is his second film in Tamil as a composer after Once More, the Arjun Das-Aditi Shankar film that is yet to have a new release date. Maaman reunites Prasanth with editor Ganesh Siva after Vilangu. The technical crew of Maaman also includes cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman (Lubber Pandhu and Maharaja).
