The makers of Desingu Raja 2 released a new poster for the upcoming film on the occasion of the Eid festival. Ezhil, the director of the original film, is directing the sequel.

The original film was a comedy starring Vemal, Bindu Madhavi, and Soori and was about two feuding villages and a romantically involved couple whose romance is thrown into the works as they find out each of them are from the two feuding villages.

Desingu Raja 2's cast alongside Vemal, includes Pujita Ponnada, Harshitha, Pugazh, Sneha Gupta, Singampuli, Chaams, Madhumitha, Vinoth, Muthu, and Ravi Mariya. Ravi Mariya, Singampuli, and Chaams starred in the 2013 film.

The technical team for Desingu Raja 2 consists of Selva R as the director of photography, Anand Linga Kumar as the editor, Siva Sankar as the art director and stunts by Fire Karthik. Babu and Preethi serve as creative producers with P Hari as the executive producer. R Balakumar served as a producer on the film, with P Ravichandran producing the film.
