The makers of debut director Varsha Bharath's Bad Girl dropped the first single from the film, titled 'Please Yenna Appadi Paakadhey' on Friday.
The song captures a teen girl's encounter with feelings of love and wanting to be noticed by the opposite sex. 'Please Yenna Appadi Paakadhey' composed by Amit Trivedi, is sung by Maalavika Manoj and written by Kaber Vasuki.
The film recently won the NETPAC award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) 2025. The film's teaser features Anjali, a teenager navigating emotional turbulence as she yearns to experience life's joys without considering the consequences, a sentiment typical of adolescence. She vows to assert her independence and defy her parents' wishes once she comes of age. The film is expected to revolve around her adventures during adolescence. However, it remains to be seen whether the film will also explore the lessons she learns from these experiences and how they shape her adulthood.
Apart from the lead, Anjali Sivaraman, the film also stars Shanthi Priya, Saranya Ravichandran, Hridhu Haroon, Teejay Arunasalam, and Sashank Bommireddipalli.
The technical crew of Bad Girl comprises cinematographers Preetha Jayaraman (ISC), Jagadeesh Ravi, and Prince Anderson; editor Radha Sridhar; and music composer Amit Trivedi, who is making his Tamil debut with the film. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
