The much-anticipated trailer of Vikram's Veera Dheera Sooran dropped on Thursday amidst a star-studded event in Chennai. The actor plays Kaali, whom we had previously seen owns a departmental store. However, his character is shrouded in mystery as he seems to hold a past that haunts him till date.

In the nearly two-minute-long trailer, we see SJ Suryah's character as Arunagiri IPS who is trying to hunt down a gang that's somehow connected to a violent incident. Set amidst a backdrop of a village festival, the team of police officers aim to capture the gang before dawn. Vikram plays a fierce individual who ruthlessly kills people. With the second part of the film scheduled to release before the first, it remains to be seen what Kaali's actions are and how they are connected to his past.

Directed by SU Arun Kumar of Chithha-fame, the action thriller also stars SJ Suryah and Dushara Vijayan in key roles. Besides, it marks the Tamil debut of popular Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu.

Veera Dheera Sooran is the 62nd film in Vikram's career. The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Theni Eswar, editing by Prasanna GK, stunt choreography by Phoenix Prabu, and art direction by CS Balachandar. It is produced by Riya Shibu under the banner HR Pictures and is set for a release on March 27.

Apart from Tamil, it will release with dubs in Telugu and Hindi.
