With its streaming planned for April 4, Netflix film Test, directed by S Sashikanth, will release a character glimpse of actor Siddharth, who plays an aspiring cricketer in the film.

The Arjun character teaser will be unveiled by former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin on Thursday.

Sashikanth, producer of YNOT Studios, will also be bankrolling his directorial debut. The film also stars Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Meera Jasmine in crucial roles.

The previously unveiled teaser of Test featured Siddharth and Meera Jasmine as a couple and Madhavan and Nayanthara as another couple. While Siddharth is an aspiring cricketer, Madhavan and Nayanthara seem to come from a middle-class background.

The official synopsis of the film, as per a press note, reads, "In a game where the stakes are personal and the consequences unforgettable, every move matters. One moment, one choice—that’s all it takes to be the hero or the villain. This unmissable Tamil film isn’t just about the game; it’s about the Test life throws at you."

Playback singer and musician Shakthishree Gopalan is making her debut as a music director with Test. The technical crew also comprises editor TS Suresh, cinematographer Viraj Sinh Gohil, and sports director Dhruv Panjuani.

Apart from Tamil, Test will also be released in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi on April 4 on Netflix.
