Pooja Hegde dubs for herself in Tamil for the first time in Suriya's Retro

Retro is all set for release in theatres on May 1

With its release slated for May 1, makers of Karthik Subbaraj's upcoming film Retro, starring Suriya in the lead, have been sharing interesting facts about the making of the film in a comic-strip format.

In one such post, recently, they announced that Pooja Hegde has dubbed herself for a regional language for the first time. She was praised for her dedication to the film. It was said the makers were concerned about Pooja's diction and whether or not she could get the job done. She assured them that she would take this up as a challenge and succeed.

Produced by Suriya-Jyotika's 2D Entertainment and Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films, Retro also stars Jayaram, Nasser, Prakash Raj, Sujith Shankar, Karunakaran, Tamizh, Prem Kumar, Ramachandran Durairaj, Sandeep Raj, Murugavel, and Remya Suresh, among others.

With Santhosh Narayanan as the music composer, the technical crew of the film crew comprises cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna, editor Shafique Mohamed, art director Jackson, action choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee, and costume designer Praveen Raja. Retro is all set for release in theatres on May 1.

In addition to Retro, Suriya has also started working on his 45th film, directed by RJ Balaji.
