We had earlier reported that actor-composer Premgi Amaren will be seen playing the lead character in director Karuppaiyaa Murugan's film Vallamai.

The latest update from the makers is that the film has been certified with a U/A certificate by the CBFC. The recently revealed teaser showed that there is some seemingly shady thing Premgi is up to, accompanied by his daughter. The plot details aren't revealed in the glimpse.

Vallamai director Karuppaiyaa Murugan has already directed and produced the film Vidiyatha Iravondru Vendam, starring Ashok Kumar and Hrithika, in 2022. In addition to directing, he is also writing the story and lyrics and backing Vallamai under his Battlers Cinema banner.

Premgi, who made his proper acting debut with the Simbu starrer Vallavan, is a regular addition in the star cast of films directed by Venkat Prabhu. He was last seen in the director's The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), starring Vijay, 'Mic' Mohan, Prabhudeva, Prashanth, Sneha, Ajmal, and Meenakshi Chaudhary.

The technical crew of Vallamai comprises cinematographer Sooraj Nallusami, music composer GKV, editor C Ganesh Kumar, art director SK Ajay, and stunt director SR Harimurugan. The film is yet to get a release date.
