Actor Jai, last seen in Baby and Baby, has joined hands with first-time filmmaker Babu Vijay for his next. Also starring Meenakshi Govindarajan, the film went on floors on Monday. Apart from helming the yet-to-be-titled film, Babu Vijay is also producing it under his BV Frames banner.

Babu has previously worked as an assistant director to A R Murugadoss in films like Sarkar and Darbar. The upcoming film is billed to be a romantic thriller dealing with a serious social issue and laced with commercial elements.

As per a press note, the film will revolve around, "The cosmos is replete with unexpected revelations and the unforeseen transformations and resonances that manifest in an individual's life. This film will address a significant peril currently unfolding and persisting within our nation. It will present a realistic tale centred on encapsulating love and betrayal."

Yogi Babu, Garuda Ram, Sriman, and Aditya Kathir are set to play supporting roles in the upcoming film. The film's technical crew comprises composer Girish Gopalakrishnan, cinematographer Richard M Nathan, and editor Richardson.

The film is set to be shot in Chennai, Kodaikanal, Nellore, and other surrounding areas. More details about the extended cast, plot, and release date are yet to be disclosed.
