The makers of stunt choreographer Anl Arasu's directorial debut Phoenix dropped the trailer of the film on Friday.

The glimpse depicts to warring families pitting their successors against each other, with Surya Sethupathi being one. The reason for the feud, Surya's imprisonment is kept under wraps.

The cast of Phoenix also includes Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Harish Uthaman

Surya has appeared as a child artist in his father's films Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Sindhubaadh. The star cast of Phoenix is rounded up by Muthukumar, Sampath, Dileepan, Vignesh, Varsha Viswanath, Abi Nakshatra, Sathya NJ, 'Atti' Rishi, and Poovaiyar.

Anl Arasu himself doubles up as the stunt choreographer for the film. The technical crew of Phoenix also includes music director Sam CS, cinematographer R Velraj, and editor Praveen KL.

The film will release alongside Paranthu Po and 3BHK on July 4.
