Actor Vetri, who was last seen sharing screen space with Prabhu in Rajaputhiran, is set to play the lead in a film titled Mudhal Pakkam, directed by Anish Ashraf.
The makers dropped the first look poster of the film on Wednesday. He is joined by Shilpa Manjunath as the female lead.
The first look is suggestive of an action thriller where the protagonist might be living a dual life, one of a killer.
Having made her debut in Kannada with Mungaru Male 2, Shilpa was introduced in Tamil with Vijay Antony's Yaman (2017) and went on to collaborate with him again in 2018's Kaali. Her Tamil credits include Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum (2019), Web (2023) and Singappenney (2024). Meanwhile, Vetri, who has had three releases last year, starred in Rajaputhiran, and has Iravu in the post-production stage.
Nothing much is known about the plot of Mudhal Pakkam, which has cinematography by Arvi, cuts by VS Vishal, art direction by Suresh and Venkat, stunts by Action Noor and dance choreography by Dinesh and Dina.
Mudhal Pakkam is produced by Mageswaran Devadas under Sinnathamby Production.
