Actor Prithviraj Ramalingam plays an alcoholic and a man on the edge in the upcoming film Good Day. He is so full of despair and contemplates dying many times before attempting to erase his thoughts once and for all. Directed by Aravindhan, the film, which seems to revolve around the events of one particular day, is scheduled for release in theatres on June 27. Govind Vasantha has scored music for the film.

The trailer for Good Day establishes the above-mentioned characteristics of Prithviraj, and follows his sojourn in despair and self sympathy. As he is on the verge of taking his life, a twist in the tale takes place. He goes back to reclaim what he has lost... all in style. What happened to him that made him take the ultimate decision and his redemption seems to follow the story of Good Day. Interestingly, the film is loosely based on acclaimed lyricist Karthik Netha's life.

The film also stars Kaali Venkat, and Myna Nandhini in lead roles alongside Bose Venkat, Bagavathi Perumal, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Vela Ramamurthy, Jeeva and others playing supporting characters.

The film has been scripted to screen and co-directed by Porrna Js Michael. Good Day has cinematography and editing by Mathan Gunadev and has been backed by the actor himself. Kovai V Vijaya Kumar serves as the executive producer. Karthik Netha has written lyrics for the songs in the film.
