13 years after its initial release, actor Arun Vijay led Thadaiyara Thaakka is all set to get a re-release on June 27.

The Magizh Thirumeni directorial was released in 2012 to favourable reviews and put him on the map.

Apart from Arun Vijay, the film also stars Mamta Mohandas, Rakul Preet Singh, Vamsi Krishna, Aruldas and Kaali Venkat in crucial roles.

The film's story revolves around a youngster, who is doing well in life after struggles and is caught in the web of gangsters for a seemingly harmless help to someone. How he manages to escape them forms the crux of the film.

Thadaiyaara Thaakka has redefined the action genre and gave a breakthrough to Arun Vijay.

Backed by Feather Touch Entertainment's NS Mohan, Susil Mohan and M Hemanth, cinematographer M Sukumar, editors Praveen KL and NB Srikanth, and music composer Thaman S are part of the film.

Re-released by Upswing Entertainment Private Limited, the film's quality is expected to be enhanced by AI and the sound design will be increased to 4K Atmos.
