There have been multiple reports claiming that composer Anirudh is getting married to Kavya Maran, the daughter of Sun Pictures' owner Kalanithi Maran and the owner of the IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, Anirudh set the record straight with a social media post on Saturday. "Marriage ah? lol .. Chill out guys. Please stop spreading rumours," wrote Anirudh on X.

The speculation surfaced after multiple Reddit users claimed that Anirudh and Kavya have been dating for around a year and their wedding preparations are underway. Despite Anirudh's dismissal of the rumour, speculation continues, especially among fans as well as in business and film industry circles.

Anirudh has composed music for some of the most prominent names in Indian cinema, including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay, Ajith Kumar, Pawan Kalyan, and Jr NTR. He is attached to two of the most highly-anticipated films of 2025: Coolie, starring Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Jana Nayagan featuring Vijay in his final film and directed by H Vinoth.
