Actor Nagarjuna, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film with Dhanush, Kuberaa, has spoken about his collaboration with Rajinikanth in Coolie and the role he plays in the upcoming Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial.

Speaking to Baradwaj Rangan for Galatta Plus, Nagarjuna revealed that he plays an extremely important role in Coolie. “I play a very important character in Coolie. It is completely different from my part in Kuberaa. From the way I talk and walk, everything is different when my roles in Kuberaa and Coolie are compared.”

Further, Nagarjuna was full of praise for Lokesh Kanagaraj. “When I shot with Lokesh in Chennai, I could see the admiration he received from fans there. They would just crowd around him during the shoot,” he said. The Geethanjali actor also added that he was grateful to Lokesh for the way he has been portrayed in Coolie. “The visuals of Coolie are a blast. I thank Lokesh for showing me in that light.”

Helmed by Shekhar Kammula, Kuberaa also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh and Dalip Tahil, apart from Dhanush and Nagarjuna. The film is gearing up to hit theatres on June 20.

On the other hand, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie also boasts an ensemble comprising Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Shruti Haasan in prominent roles. Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde are set to make special appearances. Also a part of the cast are Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, and Monisha Blessy.

Backed by Sun Pictures, Coolie’s technical crew comprises cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, editor Philomin Raj and music composer Anirudh Ravichander. Rajinikanth’s 171st film, Coolie, is all set to hit theatres on August 14.
