After entertaining audiences with its spooks, scares and laughs, Santhanam's DD Next Level is gearing up for a release on OTT soon. Zee5 has announced that the film, directed by Prem Anand will start streaming on their platform from June 13.

"When sharp-tongued film critic Kissa (Santhanam) is pulled into a haunted movie during a private screening, he finds himself trapped on a ghost-infested cruise ship directed by the bizarre Hitchcock Irudhayaraj (Selvaraghavan). With two rival reviewers, a magical diary, and his own girlfriend turning ghostly, Kissa must outsmart supernatural twists with wit and sarcasm," reads the plotline. The film was released in theatres on May 16 and was received with mixed reviews from audiences and critics.

Our CE review of the film read, "Self-awareness is the biggest strength of DD Next Level and it is also a risk taken by the director. The horror and murders in this film have to not just hit the right note of caricature and kalaai, but also engage the various Kissas in the audience."

Apart from Santhanam, the film also starred Selvaraghavan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Geethika, Yashika Aannand, Maaran, Nizhalgal Ravi, Kasthuri Shankar, and Rajendran, among others.
