Dhanush's Kuberaa clears censorship formalities

The film will release in theatres on June 20

With Dhanush and Shekhar Kammula's film Kuberaa set for release on June 20, the makers revealed that the film cleared the censorship formalities and obtained a U/A certificate. The film would have a runtime of 195 minutes (3 hours and 15 minutes).

Actor Nagarjuna, who plays a pivotal role in the film, had completed dubbing for his portions. Kuberaa also stars Jim Sarbh and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is said to have a storyline that handles the rags-to-riches theme.

Kuberaa marks Sekhar’s 10th feature film as a director. His last directorial was the 2021 film Love Story, which starred Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. The film marks his first collaboration with Dhanush as well as composer Devi Sri Prasad. Kuberaa also boasts of prominent names in the technical team, with Nikesh Bommi in charge of cinematography, Thota Tharani helming as the production designer and Karthika Srinivas as the editor.

The film is jointly produced under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas and Amigo Creation. Besides Telugu, Kuberaa will also be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada.
