Pugazh’s long-delayed film, Mr Zoo Keeper, directed by J Suresh, is now scheduled for a June 27 theatrical release. The film was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on May 3 last year but was indefinitely postponed.

The film follows Pugazh as he tends to a tiger cub, mistaking it for a cat. However, he finds himself in a precarious situation when forest officers and cops, who come looking for the cub, find the animal to be in his possession.

Touted as an adventure film containing liberal doses of humour, Mr Zoo Keeper has cleared censorship formalities with a U certificate. In addition to directing the film, J Suresh wrote its screenplay and dialogue from his own story.

The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Tanveer Mir, and editing by Azeeb KS. T Jeba Jones and S Rajarathinam are producing the film, which also stars Shirin Kanchwala, Singam Puli, Imman Annachi, Pyramid Kumar, and Marimuthu.
