The makers of actor Sivakarthikeyan's next, Madharaasi, dropped the first single from the film 'Salambala' on Thursday.

'Salambala' is set up as a post-breakup number that has Sivakarthikeyan's character with renewed zest after suffering a heartbreak. The song stands out as the male lead declares he will dust himself off and make his life better from hereafter, unlike other break-up numbers that usually badmouth the heroines or brood over the lost love.

Composed by Anirudh, 'Salambala' is penned by Super Subu and sung by Sai Abhyankkar.

Described as a "massive action" film, Madharaasi also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Vikranth, Vidyut Jammwal, Shabeer Kallarakkal, and Biju Menon in prominent roles.

Produced under the Sri Lakshmi Movies banner, the film's technical crew also includes cinematographer Sudeep Elamon and editor A Sreekar. The plot details for the film are under wraps. Besides Tamil, Madharaasi will also be released in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi on September 5. The Hindi version of the film has been titled Dil Madharaasi.
