Actors Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen's recent comedy family entertainer Thalaivan Thalaivii has been winning praise by critics and audiences alike.
The makers announced that the film has collected over Rs 25 crore in Tamil Nadu alone in the past three days.
In Thalaivan Thalaivii, Vijay Sethupathi plays Agasaveeran, and Nithya Menen essays the role of Perarasi, a married couple who bond over their love for cooking and food. Their post-marriage struggles and evolving dynamics form the heart of the story.
An excerpt from CE's review of the film reads, "Although the film is filled with characters with rather catchy names, Thalaivan Thalaivii is firmly about Aagaasaveeran and Perarasi. However, nothing in the film would move ahead without the presence of its crowded ensemble. And it is fascinating how this crowd grows in number as the film progresses."
Apart from the lead actors, the film also stars Yogi Babu, Chemban Vinod Jose, Saravanan, Kaali Venkat, RK Suresh, Mynaa Nandhini, Deepa, Roshini Haripriyan, and Sendrayan, among others.
