The first single from Dhanush's Idli Kadai, titled 'Enna Sugam', has been released by the makers. The film, which is directed by Dhanush who is also the star, is set to release on October 10.

'Enna Sugam' is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, in his ninth time composing for a film with Dhanush in the lead. He also composed music for Dhanush's previous directorial, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. Along with writing the lyrics for the song, Dhanush also provides vocals for the song, along with Shweta Mohan.

The rest of the cast of the film includes Nithya Menen, renuniting with Dhanush after Thiruchitrambalam, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Samuthirakani, Sathyaraj, and Raj Kiran.

The crew for the film includes Kiran Koushik as the director of photography, GK Prasanna as the editor, Jackie handling art, and Peter Hein handling stunts. Already donning multiple hats in the film, Dhanush also produces the film under his Wunderbar Pictures banner. Akash Baskaran also produces the film under his Dawn Pictures banner.
