Powerhouse from Coolie: Ramping up the promotions for Rajinikanth's Coolie, the makers have released the third single from the film's album, 'Powerhouse'. The song is composed by Anirudh, who also provides vocals alongside rapper Arivu, who has written the lyrics.

The lyric video of the song features an animated fight sequence, that is mostly black and white, by uses red and gold, symbolizing the extent of gold and gore in the film. Goons show up at the eponymous "Power House", to go up against Rajinikanth, who in turn beats them to pulp, all under the eye of the storm. Anirudh being a fan of the show Breaking Bad, uses Bryan Cranston's infamous dialogue, "Say my name," and "You're goddamn right," as a background sample for the song.

Lokesh has been directing big budget star vehicles, with Coolie being his next after the Vijay-starrer Leo. The cast for Coolie includes Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Shruthi Haasan, amongst others. Aamir Khan will also make cameo appearances in Coolie as Dahaa. Khan also confirmed his collaboration with Lokesh for an upcoming project. Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde appeared in the second single from the album, 'MonicaI'.

The crew for the film includes Girish Gangadharan as the cinematographer, Philomin Raj as the editor, Satheeskumar as the art director, Sandy as the choreographer, and Anbariv handling stunts. Kalanithi Maran is backing the film under the Sun Pictures banner.

Coolie is releasing theatrically on August 14.
