Vadivelu-Fahadh Faasil's Maareesan clears censorship formalities

Maareesan is the second collaboration between Vadivelu and Fahadh after the 2023 film Maamannan

As the upcoming film by director Sudheesh Sankar, Maareesan, is set for a release on July 25, the makers announced that the film has cleared censorship formalities with a U/A certificate.

The recently released trailer for the Vadivelu-Fahadh Faasil film shows the journey of two polar opposite characters whose paths cross. With Fahadh playing a thief and Vadivelu playing someone with Alzheimer's, and Kovai Sarala playing a cop who is after them.

Maareesan is the second collaboration between Vadivelu and Fahadh after the 2023 film Maamannan.

The cast of Maareesan also includes Vivek Prasanna, Sithara, PL Thenappan, Livingston, Renuka, Saravana Subbiah, Krishna, Haritha, and Telephone Raja.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing music for the film, with lyrics by Madhan Karky and Sabarivasan Shanmugam. The crew of the film includes Kalaiselvan Sivaji as the director of photography, Sreejith Sarang as the editor, Mahendran as the art director, with stunts handled by Pheonix Prabu. V Krishna Moorthy, who serves as the creative producer of the film, has also written the story, screenplay, and dialogue for the film. RB Choudary is producing under his Super Good Films banner.
