After her intense performance as Meena in Kottukkaali, Anna Ben is shifting gears and has chosen a romantic comedy drama for her next. She will star along with actor-director Kishore Rajkumar, known for helming Sathish-starrer Naai Sekar (2022). Apart from headlining the film, Kishore will also helm this project, marking his return to direction after three years.
Popular media production and talent management company, Noise and Grains, known for organising several cultural events in the Indian entertainment space, is now making its foray into film production through this yet-to-be-titled film which is expected to feature several prominent actors. The film was launched with a customary pooja ceremony. Further details about the cast, title and a release date are currently under wraps.
Kishore has also acted in films like Comali, Kaithi, VIP 2, Imaikkaa Nodigal, and Kee, and has created many short films and YouTube videos.
Speaking about the film, Kishore Rajkumar said, "This is a story filled with romance and humour. The screenplay is crafted to deliver a complete feel-good experience to the audience. The driving force behind this project is none other than the legendary K Bhagyaraj sir. There’s a feel among film lovers that movies like the ones he used to direct are no longer being made — this film aims to fill that gap."
"This lively film revolves around compatibility in relationships and places strong emphasis on the female lead. I am thrilled to be working with the incredibly talented Anna Ben. I sincerely thank Noise and Grains for giving me this opportunity," he added.
On the technical team, Praveen Balu handles the cinematography and is also co-writing the project while Ram Pandian is handling the editing. Both of them had earlier collaborated with Kishore Rajkumar on Naai Sekar. Karthik Srinivas and Mahaveer Ashok are bankrolling this upcoming film under the Noise and Grains banner. SN Asraf and Naresh Dinakaran serve as executive producers.
