Actor Tharshan, known for his stint in Bigg Boss Tamil and films like Google Kuttappa and Naadu, is all set to headline the upcoming film Surrender. He stars alongside Lal and Sujith Shanker in the thriller directed by Gowthaman Ganapathy. The film is slated for a release on August 1.

The teaser of Surrender, which was released a month earlier, showed Lal and Tharshan playing cops with the former having just a few months to retire. Tharshan seemed to be embroiled in an intense investigation that also seems to entangle Lal's character. The film also stars Munishkanth and Padine Kumar in pivotal roles.

Taking to his X handle, Tharshan shared the poster, and wrote, "It’s Official! The wait is almost over... My film Surrender is releasing on August 1. Mark your calendars, spread the word, and get ready to witness something truly special. This one means the world to me — can’t wait to share it with all of you."

On the technical crew, the film has music by Vikas Badisa, cinematography by Meyyendiran and editing by Renu Gopal. Surrender is produced by VRV Kumar under his Upbeat Pictures production house.
