Udhayaa's Accused to be released on August

Starring alongside Udhayaa are Ajmal, Yogi Babu, and director Prabu Solomon

We had reported in March that actor Udhayaa's Accused had entered the post-production stage with the commencement of dubbing. The latest update from the makers is that the film will be released in theatres on August 1.

Although initially planned for a summer release, the film's release has been pushed to August. The film was completed in a single schedule of 54 days.

Starring alongside Udhayaa are Ajmal, Yogi Babu, and director Prabu Solomon. Cinematographer Maruthanayagam I, music composer Naren Balakumar, editor KL Praveen, and stunt director Stunt Silva are a part of the Accused's technical team.

The film's director, Prabhu, has previously directed a Kannada film, Body God. Son of film producer PL Thenappan and brother of filmmaker AL Vijay, Udhayaa, who made his debut as the lead in Tirunelveli (2000), was last seen in Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu (2021) and as the lead in Utharavu Maharaja (2018). He also has to acting credits Zee5's webseries Singa Penne in 2020.

Accused is produced by Udhayaa, N Panneer Selvam, and M Thangavel.
