On Wednesday, the makers of Sivakarthikeyan's 25th film dropped a teaser for the film that announced its title. The film, directed by Sudha Kongara and co-written by Sudha herself alongside Arjun Nadesan, has been titled Parasakthi. Besides Sivakarthikeyan, the film stars Sreeleela in her Tamil debut, Ravi Mohan, and Atharvaa. Ganeshaa is credited for additional screenplay, while Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy are credited as additional dialogue writers.

The teaser hints at a film that revolves around student politics in old Madras. Sreeleela and Atharvaa play characters in the film's period portions. On the other hand, Ravi Mohan seems to portray a role with an old score to settle with Sivakarthikeyan's character. The teaser shows a scene where Ravi Mohan's character fires at a picture of Sivakarthikeyan's character, like in a target practice drill in law enforcement.

The film went on floors in December last year with the working title SK25. The technical team of Parasakthi includes composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, editor Sathish Suriya, and action choreographer Supreme Sundar. The film is produced by Aakash Baskaran under the banner Dawn Pictures. The makers are yet to announce a release date for the film.
