Though the makers of the long-delayed film Badava, starring Vemal and Soori, announced that the film would release in October last year, that was not to be. A new announcement from the team is that the comedy entertainer will release on February 14 along with Suseenthiran's 2K Love Story.

A trailer that was released years ago shows both the leads as happy-go-lucky youngsters causing one trouble after another in their village. The duo is also notorious for its drunkenness. The film is expected to follow how the two vagrants finally stumble upon the purpose of their lives, which is to fight a brick kiln owner who encourages the cultivation of the eco-hazardous Seemai Karuvelam trees, twigs of which will be useful in keeping the kiln heated for a long time.

The cast also includes Shrita Rao, KGF Ram, Devadarshini, Namo Narayanan, and Senthil, among others. The film, written and directed by KV Nandha, is bankrolled by M John Peter of J Studio International, who is also doubling as the music composer. The rest of the technical crew comprises editor Vinoth Kanna, cinematographer Ramalingam, art director Saravana Abiraman, choreographers Dinesh, Sreedhar, and Dheena, and stunt choreographer 'Siruthai' Ganesh.
