With two days away from the release, Rajeshwar Kalisamy's Kudumbasthan, starring Manikandan in the lead, has cleared censorship formalities and obtained a U certificate from the CBFC.

The trailer that dropped a few days ago revolves around the lead character, played by Manikandan, who is reeling under a debt trap following his wedding with his love against the wishes of his family. The film is expected to deal with how he stays afloat in the crisis in a humorous way.

The film also stars actor Saanve Megghana as the female lead and Guru Somasundaram in a prominent role. R Sundarrajan, Prasanna Balachandran, and Jenson Dhivakar play supporting characters.

Backed by S Vinothkumar's Cinemaakaran banner, the film's technical team consists of cinematographer Sujith Subramaniam, editor Kannan, and music composer Vaisagh.

Kudumbasthan will release along with Guru Somasundaram-led Bottle Radha, written and directed by debutant Dhinakaran Sivalingam.
