Ahead of the film's release in January 2024, the trailer for director-actor Sundar C's upcoming film Vallan, helmed by VR Mani Seiyon, was dropped by the makers on Tuesday.

In the trailer with glimpses of crime scenes and investigations, except for the line—more than the hide and seek game played when eyes are closed, the hide and seek played when eyes are wide open is more interesting—there are no talkie portions. The investigative thriller is expected to revolve around the act of crime committed by a cerebral perpetrator, who is pursued by a cop played by Sundar C.

Also starring Tanya Hope as the female lead, the film has been in the making since 2022. Touted to be a mystery thriller, the film also stars Hebah Patel, Kamal Kamaraj, Abirami Venkatachalam, Chandhini Tamilarasan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Jayakumar and TSK.

Vallan is produced by VR Manikandaraman and V Gayathri under the VR Della Film Factory banner. The film's technical crew comprises cinematographer Mani Perumal, music composer Santhosh Dhayanidhi, editor Dinesh Ponraj and art director Sakthee Venkatraj M.

Apart from Vallan, Sundar C also has One 2 One, directed by K Thirugnanam, in the making, where he will be starring alongside another noted actor-filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap.
