It's a wrap for GV Prakash's Kingston

On Sunday, music composer and actor GV Prakash announced that he has wrapped filming for his upcoming film, Kingston. Written and directed by debutant Kamal Prakash, the film is billed as "India's first sea fantasy adventure." The film also stars Dhivyabharathi.

Recently, the makers unveiled Kingston's teaser. Going by the teaser, it seems like the film has elements of horror as well. The teaser shows GV Prakash's character and others conducting a search on a ship. At one point, Elango Kumaravel's character tells children, "Anyone who went to the ocean never came back alive." And at another point, a character states, "Did you call me (into the sea) by cooking up a story?"

The cast of Kingston also includes Chetan, Azhagam Perumaal, Antony, Sabumon Abdusamad, Arunachaleswaran, and Rajesh Balachandiran. The film has music by GV Prakash himself, cinematography by Gokul Benoy, editing by San Lokesh, and art direction by SS Moorthy.

GV Prakash has also produced Kingston alongside Umesh KR Bansal. Kingston is GV Prakash's 25th film as an actor.
