Manikandan's Kudumbasthan gets a release date

The film set in Coimbatore will likely deal with the struggles of a newlywed's life

We had earlier reported that Manikandan will once again be seen in fun-filled family drama space with Kudumbasthan, directed by Nakkalites fame Rajeshwar Kalisamy.

The latest update from the makers is that the film will be releasing in theatres on January 24. The film wrapped filming late in March 2024.

In an earlier conversation with CE, Rajeshwar said that his film will be a marriage of the sensibilities of a V Shekhar film and an Edgar Wright film. Delving more into the film's plot, he said the film is about the day-to-day struggles of a newly married youngster set in Coimbatore. He added that the film will resonate among the youngsters of today.

The film also stars actor Saanve Megghana as the female lead and Guru Somasundaram in a prominent role. Backed by S Vinothkumar's Cinemaakaran banner, the film's technical team consists of cinematographer Sujith Subramaniam, editor Kannan, and music composer Vaisagh.
