Days after unveiling the first look poster of debut director Joshua Sethuraman's Gentlewoman, starring Lijomol Jose in the lead, the makers of the film are planning for a theatrical release on March 7.

The makers have timed the release to coincide with Women's Day, as the film, like the title suggests, will revolve around the stories centred on women.

The makers say that Gentlewoman will redefine strength and grace and that being gentle is not just for men. The film also stars Losliya and Hari Krishnan.

Gentlewoman's technical crew comprises music director Govind Vasantha, cinematographer SA Kathavarayan, editor Elayaraja Sekar, stunt director Sudesh, choreographer Azar and Yugabharathi has penned the lyrics and dialogue.

Lijomol Jose had three releases in the last year: Nadanna Sambhavam, I Am Kathalan and Her (all are Malayalam films). She made her last Tamil film appearance in TJ Gnanavel's Jai Bhim (2021), with Suriya and Manikandan. Apart from Gentlewoman, Lijomol has Ponman (Malayalam), Kaadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai (Tamil) and Daveed (Malayalam) in the pipeline.

Hari Krishnan was seen in a supporting role in Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan, along with Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Pasupathy. Meanwhile, Losliya's Mr Housekeeping, directed by Arun Ravichandran, recently released to mixed to positive reviews and is running in theatres.
