Premgi to lead Karuppaiyaa Murugan's Vallamai

Details about the film's plot and release date are not known yet

Akshay Kumar

Actor-composer Premgi Amaren will next be seen headlining director Karuppaiyaa Murugan's Vallamai.

Filmmaker and Premgi's brother Venkat Prabhu unveiled the first look poster of the film featuring the actor along with a school girl, apparently his sister or daughter. The poster stands out from Premgi's earlier wacky and goofy roles. It is expected that Vallamai will be a serious emotional film.

Director Karuppaiyaa has already directed and produced the film Vidiyatha Iravondru Vendam, starring Ashok Kumar and Hrithika, in 2022. In addition to directing, he is also writing the story, lyrics and backing Vallamai, under his Battlers Cinema banner.

Premgi, who made his proper acting debut with the Simbu starrer Vallavan, is a regular addition in the star cast of films directed by Venkat Prabhu. He was last seen in the director's The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), starring Vijay, 'Mic' Mohan, Prabhudeva, Prashanth, Sneha, Ajmal and Meenakshi Chaudhary.

The technical crew of Vallamai comprises cinematographer Sooraj Nallusami, music composer GKV, editor C Ganesh Kumar, art director SK Ajay, stunt director SR Harimurugan. Details about the film's plot and release date are not known yet.
