'Golden Sparrow' song from Dhanush's third directorial Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), which was released earlier this year has become the highest-viewed Tamil song on YouTube in 2025. Sharing the news, GV Prakash, who scored music for the film, expressed his gratitude to the film's team as well as Dhanush and his Wunderbar Films director Sreyas.
'Golden Sparrow' which has vocals by Sublahshini, GV Prakash, Dhanush and Arivu, with lyrics written by Arivu, currently has over 248 million views. It has surpassed 'Monica' (237 million views), 'Oorum Blood' (133 million views), 'Muththa Mazhai' (129 million views), 'Kanimaa' (103 million views) and 'Pottala Muttaye' (101 million views) to achieve the feat. The song has a cameo appearance by Priyanka Mohan.
The film featured Pavish in his debut, along with Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Matthew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan. Veteran actors like Saranya Ponvannan, R Sarathkumar, and Aadukalam Naren also play prominent roles in the film.
A Gen Z coming-of-age rom-com film, NEEK follows Prabhu (Pavish) is on the verge of marrying his childhood friend a year after his break up. In order to find out if he has truly moved, he decides to attend former girlfriend's wedding in Goa. Upon release in theatres this February, the film was met with mixed reviews from critics.
