Shankar praises Sirai, says film 'moved him to tears'

Sirai is written by Tamizh, who has directed Taanakaaran, which also stars Vikram Prabhu

Director Shankar took to social media, to shower his appreciation for Sirai. The film stars Vikram Prabhu, and is written by Tamizh, who directed Vikram Prabhu on Taanakkaran.

Taking to his X handle the director wrote, "Sirai- Such a good film. Really moved me to tears in many places. Loved all the characters and their performances which stayed with me after the film. Vikram Prabhu gave a staunch performance throughout the film. LK Akshay Kumar and Anishma Anilkumar’s acting captured their character’s innocence and emotions beautifully."

He also wrote, "My heartfelt wishes to the producer SS Lalit Kumar for bringing us this gem. Director Suresh Rajakumari imprisoned our hearts with his excellent debut. The message in the last scene was solid and very relevant. Tamil Cinema ending the year on a high-note."

Sirai opened to positive reviews with the performances of its leads Vikram Prabhu, LK Akshay Kumar, and Anishma Anilkumar.
