Actor Vijay attended the audio launch of Jana Nayagan, billed as his final film, at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia on Saturday, drawing massive crowds and fanfare. Clips from the event quickly made their way online, capturing several memorable moments from the evening.
In one widely shared video, Vijay is seen walking up to the stage as fans erupt in cheers. Smiling and waving back, the actor soaked in the love before the crowd began chanting “TVK”, a reference to his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Vijay responded with a smile, shook his head, and subtly gestured that the occasion was not meant for political slogans, a moment that amused many in attendance.
The grand event saw the presence of Jana Nayagan’s cast and crew, including Pooja Hegde, Priyamani, music director Anirudh Ravichander, lyricist Vivek, and choreographers Shobi Master and Shekar Master.
The celebrations were structured as a two-part spectacle. The first segment, titled Thalapathy Thiruvizha, was a tribute concert featuring more than 30 singers, such as Vijay Yesudas, Anuradha Sriram, SPB Charan, Tippu, Shweta Mohan, and Andrea Jeremiah, among others. This was followed by the official audio launch, highlighted by a live performance from Anirudh Ravichander.
Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan boasts an ensemble cast that includes Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, and Narain, along with Vijay, Pooja Hegde, and Priyamani. The film marks Vijay’s reunion with Prakash Raj after Varisu, Pooja Hegde after Beast, and Gautham Vasudev Menon after Leo.
The film is produced by Venkat K Narayana under the KVN Productions banner, with Jagadish Palanisamy and Lohith NK serving as co-producers. The technical crew features cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan, editor Pradeep E Ragav, and stunt choreographer Anl Arasu.
Jana Nayagan is set for a theatrical release on January 9, 2026, just in time for the Pongal festivities. It will clash at the box office with Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi, which is scheduled to hit screens on January 10.
