As the Jana Nayagan fever is gripping Tamil Nadu and the rest of India, the makers have been updating the distributors of the film. Accordingly, the film, titled Jana Nayakudu in Telugu, will be distributed by PVR Inox Pictures in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. It will be a stiff contest for Jana Nayakudu in the Telugu-speaking states, as Chiranjeevi's Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu and Prabhas' The Raja Saab are also getting Sankranti releases.

It was recently announced that in Hindi, the film is titled Jan Neta and is being distributed by Zee Studios in the North Indian region.

The film, marking the first collaboration between Vijay and H Vinoth, is the actor’s last film before his political plunge in the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu elections. He will make his electoral debut with his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

Jana Nayagan also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Priyamani, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, and Narain. The film reunites Vijay with Prakash Raj after Varisu, Pooja after Beast, and Gautham Vasudev Menon after Leo.

On the technical side, the film has music by Anirudh, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan, editing by Pradeep E Ragav, action choreography by Anl Arasu, and art direction by Selva Kumar.

Produced by Karnataka-based KVN Productions, Jana Nayagan will be released worldwide on January 9, 2026.
